What Size Pressure Washer Nozzle Do You Need? Let’s Find Out!
If the nozzle size for your pressure cleaner isn’t written on the side of your nozzle or provided in the manufacturers manual please follow these 3 easy steps below.
1) Choose your preferred spray width:
0°: Powerful jet for precision cleaning; use with caution
15°: High-pressure spray for heavy-duty tasks
25°: Balanced spray for general cleaning
40°: Wide, low-pressure spray for delicate surfaces
2) Choose the the correct nozzle size:
Choosing the right nozzle size isn’t a one-size-fits-all situation—it depends on your pressure washer’s power. Here’s what you need to do:
1️⃣ Check the Max Output: Find your machine’s PSI (pounds per square inch) and LPM (liters per minute). These numbers are your key to success. They are usually display on the pump.
2️⃣ Match It Up: Use the chart in the images to identify the correct nozzle series for your setup. Start with the PSI at the top, then follow that column down to match the LPM of your machine, the nozzle size (orifice size) is then listed on the left.
⚠️ Pro Tip: Never use a nozzle that’s too small—it can cause serious damage to your equipment. A little attention to detail now saves you big headaches later!
3) Select from our range of nozzles:
For example, 002 indicates a spray angle (0°) in the first digit and an orifice size (02) in the last two digits, determining flow rate. Similarly 15045 (a common size) indicates a spray angle (15°) in the first two digits and an orifice size (045) in the last three digits.
A brass dump nozzle (the last option on our drop down menu) has a wider opening so it creates a less concentrated spray compared to a regular nozzle, it’s often used for rinsing larger areas or for applying cleaning solutions where you want even coverage. These are usually screwed into the dump side of an adjustable double lance.
